Boban Mirkovski was born on January 18, 1991, in Skopje. He completed his primary and secondary education at the Ilija Nikolovski – Luj Music and Ballet School Center in the class of Professor Danica Stojanova. He graduated in 2013 from the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje in the class of Professor Simon Trpceski. In 2015, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje in the class of Professor Aleksandar Serdar (Republic of Serbia).
Mirkovski has performed numerous concerts in Macedonia and abroad and has won many national and international competitions. Some of his notable performances include major concerts at the Ilija Nikolovski – Luj Music and Ballet School Center and the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje, a concert in Boskovice, Czech Republic (2007), a concert in San Daniele, Italy (2007), performances as part of several concerts with Simon Trpceski, a concert in Washington, USA (2011) on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Macedonia’s independence, numerous solo concerts across Macedonia, two performances as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic (2011 and 2012), a solo concert at the “Manoel” Theatre in Valletta, Malta (2017), a solo concert at Skopje Summer Festival (2020), a soloist in the concert “Ataraxia” at Ohrid Summer Festival (2020) and at Skopje City Festival (2020), a concert with Vesna Ginovska Ilkova in Ohrid on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Macedonia’s independence as a pianist and arranger (2021), a soloist at the concert commemorating the 30th anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s passing in Skopje (2021), a soloist in the concert “Džambazov” at Ohrid Summer Festival (2022), a concert in Kavala, Greece, at the “Kosmopolis” festival with Thanos Stavridis (accordion) and Stella Tempreli (cello, Greece), an album promotion concert at the Chamber Hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic (2023), a concert in Skopje with Muhamed Ibrahimi (guitar) (2023), a concert in Bitola at the “Music from the World” festival with Thanos Stavridis and Stella Tempreli (Greece), a concert in Latronico (Italy) with Sanja Šuplevska and Orce Ickovski (2024), and a concert at the Small Hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic with Muhamed Ibrahimi (guitar), Fjolla Ismaili (cello), and Ratko Dautovski (percussion) (2024), among others.
In addition to his performance career, Mirkovski also works as an arranger and pianist for the event “Actors Sing.”
Among the awards he has won are two first places and one Laureate award at Ars Kosova in Pristina (2006, 2007, and 2008), a first prize at the international competition “Davorin Jenko” in Belgrade, Serbia, a third prize and an award for the most virtuosic participant at the international competition “Music and Earth” in Sofia, Bulgaria, a Laureate award at the international competition “Makedonium M” in Skopje (2007), among others. He is also a recipient of the prestigious award from the “Klimentina Rafajlovska” Foundation for the best graduating musician.
As part of his education, he has attended several international masterclasses with renowned professors from Macedonia and abroad, including Prof. Z. Zaharieva (Bulgaria), J. Mihajlović (Serbia), F. Turisini (Italy), A. Leimoni (Greece), T. Kaishige (Japan), B. Romanov (Macedonia), among others.
In 2021, he released his first solo album, *Facing the Sun*, followed by his second album, *Album*, in 2023, both produced by Bagi Communications.
Currently, he works as a piano professor at the Ilija Nikolovski – Luj State Music and Ballet School Center in Skopje, achieving significant success with his students. He regularly collaborates with Bagi Big Band as a pianist and arranger.
